Okay, folks, here it is - the event that you've been asking
for.It will be filled with fond memories, lots of fun and laughter, renewing old
friendships, good food and fine drinks, and another memory book to add to the
collection.
We are blessed with having grown up in the 50's, and have memories
of things maybe temporarily forgotten, but ones that Rick Wagner so kindly
reminds us about:
Who can forget the move from Main School to the new Lathrop High School with us
students carrying everything not nailed down?
Do you remember the old hangouts: the Co-op Fountain, Bill's
Drive In, the Tik Tok Drive In, and the drive-in on Cushman and Gaffney Road?
Do you remember watching television programs like Dragnet, Twilight Zone, Maverick,
Laugh In, 60 Minutes with Mike Wallace? Don't forget Rock and Roll! You must
remember Bill Haley & the Comets, Elvis and his Blue Suede Shoes and
All Shook Up, Sha-Boom by the Crew Cuts, All I Want to do is Dream
by the Everly Brothers and You Send Me by Sam Cooke. Those artists who gave
Rock and Roll such a great name, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Little Richard,
The Platters, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, and,
of course, Elvis Presley, and so many more - the music we all loved to sing and
dance to.
Now, we're asking you to make a decision. Send your deposit before April
15, 2007 of $50.00 per person; the balance of $50.00 is due before June 15th.
We are still firming up the schedule of events and planning menus,
but we need to hear from you. Your response will help us plan this historical
50th class reunion. The countdown has begun - February is here.

will contain pictures from all our prior reunion gatherings. The book will be an extra
cost, of course. There will be only one printing with a limited number of extra
copies for purchase later IF you change your mind.

They will be mailed to you on or before October 1,2007, or as soon as they are
received from the publisher.
The format of the memory book will be similar to the Caches of yore, since
undoubtedly this will be our last "planned" reunion and should be a significant
publication. If you are not planning to attend, please mail a current picture
along with a non-fictional story about what you have been doing for these past
50 years. If you can condense your life into one single-spaced typewritten page,
then that will make our editorial group happy. Otherwise, we may need to condense
it for you. Please don't forget your
picture/s.
If you will be attending the reunion, we will be scheduling "shoots" to have your
individual picture taken.
Our photographer will be available at all the events and, of course, you are
welcome to bring your own cameras for pictures you wish to take.
